The NBCC performs its own spinal imaging service and develops the X-Rays on site. The films are taken with the person in a standing position in order to more accurately assess spinal/pelvic postural imbalances and gravitational influences on the pain sensitive structures of the body.

In the rare findings of serious pathology, this Centre will refer that person to an appropriate specialist for further diagnosis and treatment.

The X-Ray techniques employed here usually use approximately twenty-five percent of the dosage of X-Rays used by conventional medical spinal imaging studies.
